PROCMURA focuses on ensuring that the churches in Africa have well trained personnel who are equipped with knowledge in Islam and Christian-Muslim relations and are capable of understanding and interpreting the complexity of Christian-Muslim relations in Africa. This will ensure effective delivery of services and counsels to the PROCMURA constituency, the churches and Christians in Africa.
This programme, in partnership with St. Paul's University, Limuru, Kenya, ensures the training of Area Advisers and associate Area Advisers to serve PROCMURA and the churches in Africa. The programme also offers education through short courses on Islam and Christian-Muslim relations to institutions and organisations.
PROCMURA also offers specific intensive training through a summer school. This programme gives opportunity for a number of clergies including women leaders and youth to undergo a training in Christian-Muslim relations and Christian witness without necessarily going through the two years master programme in Islam and Christian-Muslim relations. Researching and documenting emerging issues in Christian-Muslim relations from PROCMURA’s constituencies and participants in the summer school will help the organisation and the churches in Africa to be proactive in their service delivery.
