ABOUT PROCMURA

Our Story & Presence

Our Story & Presence

PROCMURA has walked alongside churches and communities in Africa for more than six decades, promoting constructive Christian-Muslim relations and supporting peaceful coexistence in diverse societies.

Its work has grown from dialogue and education into a wider Pan-African movement that includes peacebuilding, advocacy, religious freedom, youth engagement, women’s participation, eco-justice and community development.

PROCMURA’s story is a story of faith, dialogue and service across Africa.

Our Journey

Over the years, PROCMURA has created spaces where Christian and Muslim communities can meet, listen, learn and work together for peace. Through churches, national committees, partners and grassroots networks, the organisation continues to respond to emerging challenges affecting interfaith relations and community resilience.

Our Presence

PROCMURA works across Africa through churches, communities, partners and national structures that support dialogue, peacebuilding and practical cooperation.

Our Continuing Role

  • Promoting Christian-Muslim dialogue and understanding.
  • Supporting communities affected by conflict and religious tension.
  • Strengthening faith leaders, women and youth as peace actors.
  • Advocating for religious freedom, justice and human dignity.
  • Encouraging cooperation for sustainable peace and development.
